Bishop Ellis organized Mount Tabor Union Baptist Church in February of 1987 with thirteen members and since that time God has blessed this work of his faithful servant tremendously. Mount Tabor (now Full Gospel Baptist Church), is one of the fastest growing churches in The Bahamas; and over the years the Ministry has emerged as the largest and most powerful body of believers in the country. This is due in part to a membership of approximately 7,000; the dynamic, prophetic, bold, life changing messages delivered by Bishop Ellis, that are even regularly quoted in the countries House of Parliament and the profoundly practical, ground breaking style of ministry demonstrated by Mount Tabor, which has resulted in members being blessed with everything from brand new homes to educational scholarships and the provision of a group medical insurance plan.Since its inception, Bishop Ellis has been involved in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International and on May 3rd, 1995, he was consecrated as Bishop of Foreign Ministries. An outstanding and anointed leader, Bishop Ellis’ diligence and commitment to the Fellowship has resulted in his being appointed to the newly created position of Chairman of the College of Bishops. Upon his appointment to the chair of the College of Bishops, he relinquished his position as Bishop of Foreign Ministries; however, he still serves as Regional Bishop of Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship – Bahamas. Most recently, he was elevated to the position of 3rd Presiding Bishop of this International Fellowship.
